Mothers' Union June 2018

Dear Fellow Members,

What a lovely day we had at Brownshill Monastery on 17th May. All who went enjoyed a day of peace and time with God. The day was based on scripture focusing on the MU ‘MULOA’ initiative. MULOA stands for ‘Mothers’ Union Listens, Observes and Acts’. It was a beautiful day with plenty of sunshine and lovely surroundings. The sisters were most welcoming and the lunch much appreciated. The day was fully booked.  Nearly half were Stonehouse members (so nice and handy for us).  This day was to replace our usual evening meeting so our next meeting will be at 7.30pm at Hazelwood on June 21st when we welcome our Diocesan Presidents Helen Barton and Dorothy Marshall.  Do please make every effort to come along.

July will be out Outing Day to Northleach. Glenis will be in touch with you all to arrange this.

August 9th (Mary Sumner Day): we are invited to Shurdington for the annual picnic so do put that afternoon in your diaries too. Again Glenis will be taking names of those who would like to go.

We have been blessed with much sunshine lately and we thank God for his good gifts to us (and that includes the rain as well – the gardens and gardeners appreciate that!).

With love,              Kay

Saturday 30th June St. Cyr's church from 10.30am open day.

Stonehouse Mothers Union warmly invite everyone to a fundraising event for Mothers’ Union projects, Christian care for families. Our church is open every Saturday welcoming people to their time out cafe. This particular Saturday the Mothers’ Union will have various stalls selling cakes, books, plants and bric-a-brac to raise funds for the important work the MU does at home and abroad.

It will be good to see you there.

With love, Glenis
