SUNDAY SERVICE ROTA

I think I am getting the hang of it !!?? I am very grateful to everyone who keeps me informed of their unavailability – it helps a lot.  But I still make mistakes, sorry.

Concerning the (Sunday) organ playing, we will be down to only four volunteers when Anne has left us. (We will miss her in lots of other ways too.) The “lucky” four are Caroline, Kay, Colin M and Steve – but following Steve’s accident, we don’t know how soon he will be back with us (and our prayers are with him and his family of course) – we are down to three.

Is there anyone who would like to join this skilled team (training given) to help ease their load, please? Or anyone prepared to do the odd Sunday if they can’t sign up for a regular slot?

Please let me and/or Kay know.

Thank you.         Barry

Our CMS Link – Francesca Elloway

We have received our final letter from Francesca. She has now retired and is back in England. Do please read it.

At the end, she says: “... I take the opportunity to thank each of you so much for your support over the past 25 years or so (we at St Cyr’s have supported her from the beginning). It’s not easy to put into words how I feel at this time, partly because I haven’t had the time yet to process everything – it’s too soon – but the amazing journey I’ve been on during my time in DRCongo is something I will reflect on and hopefully learn from in the coming months and years. God has certainly been faithful in the ups and downs of life in Aru: I have always been aware of his guiding presence and support, especially in the difficult times when life has been tough.....”

RIDE STRIDE for Churches:

My attempt, last year, to cycle to all the churches in the Stroudwater Team was scuppered by a real downpour when Harry and I had reached Saul, four churches short. Let's hope for kinder weather this year! At the moment, I'm thinking a group of us from the Team could start from the highest point, (that is Selsley Church) and go round the churches from there. Any volunteers to join me in that? Or perhaps for just one stage (such as along the canal from Frampton and on to Fretherne, or maybe to lunch at Arlingham?).

Please let me know of any interest in riding, walking, helping with transport, welcoming other cyclists to St. Cyr's.
And there will be sponsor forms in Church!
