Mothers' Union June 2019

Dear friends,

Our Mothers’ Union Retreat Day held at the Marist Retreat Centre, gave to us a time for reflection, refreshment, renewal and growth. The theme for our day was ‘I am the True Vine’ led by Reverend Richard Bryant. Our day consisted of 3 sessions: 1- the Gospel of John 15 1-27;   2- The image of the Vine;   3- Faith and Love. Within these sessions we had time and space to be still and quiet around this spiritual place. We were provided with a delicious lunch and after our last session, we shared the Eucharist with our fellow MU members from around the diocese in the beautiful chapel of the convent. We were all so grateful to Reverend Bryant for his prayers and leadership.

With love Glenis

I am glad to say we have raised £114.00 for our MU projects at home and abroad. Luckily it was a dry morning at Dursley Car Boot and it's always good fun having some banter and bargaining when selling.

Our next fundraising will be on Saturday June 15th alongside our Time Out café 10.30am - 2.30pm we hope to have a cake stall, bric-a-brac and hopefully some plants. If you would like to contribute to one of our stalls please let me know. Any bric-a-brac I will collect if needed. Also, please invite your neighbours along. I have some invites, so please let me know and I will get the invites to you.
